Many Australian companies are signatories to the Packaging Covenant administered by the Packaging Council of Australia. 

The intent of the covenant is for companies to reduce their packaging waste to help the environment and reduce demand on fossil fuel. The reductions include the use of pallet wrapping materials.

We offer in-plant audits of your Load Containment (and pallet wrapping) practices with the audit often resulting in recommendations that will reduce your usage of stretch wrapping film.  

As at 31/3/08 we have conducted over 90 audits after being invited into company sites to conduct Audits. The results of these Audits show that an aggregate ANNUAL saving of 208 tonnes of stretch film would be achieved if all those companies audited were to use the SpinoWraptor EPI stretch. 

The 208 tonnes represents a 41% reduction in annual film consumption at the sites audited, and would make a significant favourable impact on the environment. This includes reducing  oil consumed to make the resins, energy (fossil fuels) to extrude the resins into film and a reduction in recycling and/or landfill costs for the receiver of the pallets.

The 208 tonnes film reduction equates to 1080 units of carbon liability. The cost to  purchase a Carbon Credit is around $23.00 per annum, so if all the companies who have received an audit used a SpinoWraptor EPI, they would collectively save $24,840 in carbon credit payments alone. And they would benefit daily from the reduction in film cost. The receivers of the pallet would also benefit not having to dispose of as much film.
