May 2008 - KESAB Environmental Solutions
endorses SpinoWraptor.
After a thorough review KESAB has given the SpinoWraptor pallet wrapping
machine the thumbs up. KESAB, a not for profit organisation, whose role is to
educate and cause action about the environment has endorsed the SpinoWraptor.
KESAB found that SpinoWraptor does reduce the amount of plastic stretch wrap
required to wrap pallets of goods for transport, when compared to other wrapping
methods.
Propak Industries has partnered with KESAB to produce a mail-out which explains how
KESAB and Propak Industries are working together for the benefit of the
environment. Recipients of the mail-out are
invited to participate in a free pallet wrapping audit. The FREE audit reviews
current wrapping methods. A report provides current pallet wrapping costs and
comparative costings and savings in film that would be achieved by using SpinoWraptor.
By using a SpinoWraptor, companies can reduce stretch film consumption by up
to 50%, and improve load stability.

April 2008 -Interpack 2008
Propak Industries Managing Director visited Interpack 2008. His focus was on
goods and services that would enhance Propak's environmental focus.
While at the show Garry previewed exciting new Macro-Perforated Stretch
film which is to be released at the end of June. This film enables pallets to be
wrapped using less film than with the existing superior Macroperforated stretch
film. Propak will order some of this film for trialling in Australia.
Macroperforated stretch film is used to wrap cartons of product that is hot when
packed. The perforations in the film allow for the air to circulate through the
pallet and allow cooling, without sweating, which can damage the cartons.
Macroperforated film is also very suitable for product that needs to be
chilled after palletising. The chilled are circulates through the pallet of
cartons, pulling the temperature down much more quickly than if the pallet was
wrapped with normal stretch wrap.
Garry also met up with the SpinoWraptor manufacturers, and was excited by the
new product developments that this company has made. They remain at the
forefront of pallet wrapping technology.

Services takes delivery of second SpinoWraptor.

Australia, with Northline (Perth) choosing a machine/ film deal with
Propak Industries. Northline Adelaide has a machine/film deal
with Propak for 12 month.
Propak Managing Director Garry Sandercock said that Propak has not intentionally targeted the
logistics sector but it is obvious that because the SpinoWraptor delivers
real savings in film consumption logistics companies are selecting this machine.

2008 - Packaging Council - Real Examples of Change and Innovation
- Second edition released.
The Packaging Council of Australia has released its Real Examples of Change
and Innovation - second edition. This booklet features among other worthy
examples, the SpinoWraptor range of pallet wrappers.
To be able to feature in this booklet, suppliers had to justify that their
product did have very favourable impacts on the Environment. Propak's SpinoWraptor
is saving the environment by reducing stretch film consumption at 25 businesses
by over 66 tonnes per annum.
No financial contribution was required to feature in the booklet and those
items in the booklet were selected by the PCA, against strict criteria..
Propak Industries was able to demonstrate that the SpinoWraptor range of
Pallet Wrappers do impact favourably on the environment, through using less
stretch wrap for load containment.
Propak Industries and its distributors offer machine and film packages, where
the payment of the machine and film used on a per pallet wrapped basis. The
machine and film packages provide a cost effective way to upgrade machinery to
gain the environmental benefits and can result in labour savings as well. There
is no capital outlay to upgrade to the latest environmental beneficial machines
and at the end of the contract users have the option of owning the machine at
little or no cost. Of course the machines can be purchased outright if
desired.

Australia booklet "Real Examples of Change and Innovation - 2nd Edition
2007"
Propak Industries SpinoWraptor range of pallet wrappers has been included in
a booklet entitled Real Examples of Change and Innovation - 2nd Edition
2007, produced by the Packaging Council of Australia.
Propak responded to an invitation to all members of the PCA to nominate a
product or process that showed a significant contribution to the reduction of
packaging consumption or waste.
The booklet gives details of proven examples of products or
processes that have resulted in demonstrable savings in materials used in the
packaging environment.
The stories included in the booklet come from a wide range of
industries – postal, fast food, hygiene, food and beverage, industrial and
motor industries, to name a few. This diversity of participants shows the
importance and influence of sustainable packaging to the whole supply chain and
emphasises the need for companies to continue to push sustainable packaging
designs now and into the future.

Propak's exhibit at Auspack 2007 deemed a success.
Propak attended their second Auspack, with there stand promoting its environmental focus.
Bio-Fill Biodegradable Void Fill was formally released to the market, and considerable interest was shown the

simulating a packing line in operation. It was interesting that our automated
refilling of the feeder bag, was a specific point of interest, and created many
enquires.
We also had on display and demonstrated our SpinoWraptor PRO automatic pallet wrapper. Many enquiries were
received about the wrapper and our staff took the opportunity to discuss the requirements
of the visitors particularly in relation to current wrapping practises.
Appointments were made for Propak's free Load Containment Audits.
Also displayed were Rite-Edge -
cardboard angles and Macroperforated stretch film.
Managing Director Garry Sandercock
said that the exhibition was and outstanding success from Propak Industries view
point, and that the decision to theme the stand with an environmental bias was
prudent. Propak showed a video about the
companies environmental focus which really drew visitors to the stand.
This video will be available from our website shortly.

facilities at their new warehouse located in Thebarton, South Australia.

2006 - Exel Logistics installs 5 SpinoWraptors for their distribution
centres.
Exel Logistics - a division of DHL has installed 5 SpinoWraptor
pallet wrappers in their Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth
distribution centres. The order was awarded to Wayne Richardson Sales
(Melbourne).
Propak staff assisted
Exel and WRS with selection of the Epipack SpinoWraptor pallet wrappers. An
Excel purchasing representative flew to Adelaide to view the machines and have
the machines capabilities fully demonstrated.
One machine is being specially modified to reach a
wrapping height of 3 metres. The modification is being made by by Propak's
Technical department.
One of reasons SpinoWraptors were selected over the
competition was its feature of being able to store programmed wrapping settings.
In Exel's situation they have different wrapping requirements for different palletised
goods and different customers. With the stored programmable wrapping settings
the selection of the appropriate wrapper configuration, to suit their customer
requirements is a breeze.

Andpak leads the way with an Australian first
Andpak (Aust) Pty Ltd of Irymple have achieved an Australian first by installing the first state-of-the-art remote controlled SpinoWraptor Pro pallet wrapping equipment in the nation.
The SpinoWraptor Pro was supplied and installed by Propak Industries in South Australia.
Propak’s Managing Director Garry Sandercock said the equipment was identified as the best of its type when he visited the prestigious Interpack 2005 trade show in Düsseldorf in April.
“Some people think it looks like a space ship – it’s very different from your average pallet wrapper,” said Mr Sandercock.
“I congratulate Andpak, as this equipment is incredibly innovative. It’s safer than the traditional pallet wrapper because the wrap is contained inside the machine – meaning the operator will not come into contact with moving parts.
“It will also save time and increase efficiency because the user can operate the machine via remote control.
“In a practical sense this means the store person in the packing shed won’t have to get off the forklift to operate the equipment.
“The pallet can be loaded on for wrapping, the machine started by remote control and the operator can do other tasks on the forklift while the pallet is being wrapped,” said Mr Sandercock.
